2017 Retrofit – Purse Seiner 24m
She is a 24m Fishing Vessel (purse seiner) custom built-in 2000 for a repeat customer. Over her years of service, she has gone through various upgrades and refits, by Aegean. These were engineered and supported to maintain and extend the vessel’s operability throughout her lifecycle. In particular, they enhanced navigation safety and fishing operations’ effectiveness while improving selectivity. In January 2017, during her annual dry-docking maintenance schedule, we completed the fitting of a low frequency high-definition long-range omni sonar. Due to sonar room space restrictions, this new sonar was specified with a compact hull unit, which extends the sonar transducer 1 meter below the vessel’s hull. The increased performance of the most powerful and advanced omni sonar system will expand the vessel’s capabilities while extending her effective lifetime. The installation works onboard were completed from our Team within one full day. One more day was needed for sea trial, set-up, and final delivery.
