2022 RETROFIT – MOTOR YACHT 50m
She is a 50m custom steel-hulled motor yacht with an aluminum superstructure and teak decks, delivered by the Viareggio shipyard of Codecasa in 1986. The naval design by Manfredi/Sforzi combined with twin MAN diesel allows her a top speed of 16 knots with a cruising range of 6000 nautical miles at 12 knots. Her 4,2m deep draught, the Lips bow thruster, and Vosper stabilizer systems deliver maneuverability and comfortable seakeeping. While the spacious interior by Cerruti/Dilday, with refit improvements and changes in 1993, offers lavish accommodations for up to 14 guests, plus 11 crew members providing a relaxed luxury yacht feeling.
Over the years her Navigation, Auto-steering, Communications, and Safety equipment were refitted and always kept up-to-date with SOLAS mandates; including CAT2 Radar System, ECDIS, adaptive Heading Control System, etc. Her latest update was in the steering gear control system; with the original one replaced by the latest Raytheon Anschütz NautoSteer Advanced Steering system.
Raytheon Anschütz offers highly accurate, safe, and flexible steering gear control systems, which can be configured according to any customer requirements. The NautoSteer AS is a CAN bus system designed according to fail-safe principles and provides maximum safety in manual and automatic steering control. No single failure in the system causes any unwanted rudder activity. Aegean Electronics completed the refit of the steering gear control system including engineering, installation, and commissioning of the Raytheon Anschutz NautoSteer Advanced Steering.
