Simrad Today

Today the Simrad name is used by two distinct entities: one of these is part of Kongsberg Maritime AS and dedicated to the manufacture of electronics specifically designed for commercial fishing boats, while the other is Simrad Yachting, incorporated into the Navico group in 2006.

Radar R3016
The Simrad R3016 12U/6X is an IMO compliant X-Band radar solution in a compact package for CAT3 SOLAS vessels.


Radar R5000
The Simrad R5000 radar systems are available in a range of configurations to meet the requirement for an IMO type-approved X/S-Band radar system aboard CAT1(H) – CAT2(H) and CAT3 SOLAS vessels.


ECDIS900 Mk5B
The Simrad ECDIS900 Mk5B is an IMO type-approved navigation system, designed for use aboard SOLAS vessels subject to the ECDIS carriage mandates.


AIS V5035
The Simrad V5035 is a fully featured Class-A AIS transponder system, IMO type approved for use aboard SOLAS vessels.


Gyrocompass GC85
The Simrad GC85 gyrocompass complies with IMO A.821(19)HSC and approved for vessels with speed up to 70 knots. The unique technology in the GC85 eliminates the need for annual service.


Gyrocompass GC80
The Simrad GC80 gyrocompass complies with IMO A.424(11) and approved for vessels with speed up to 30 knots. The unique technology in the GC80 eliminates the need for annual service.


D/GNSS Compass
The Simrad HS80A is an IMO compliant GNSS (GPS & GLONASS) sensor designed to provide reliable heading, ROT (rate of turn), and position data. The MX575D adds an internal differential beacon receiver for increased accuracy.


Autopilot AP70Mk2
The Simrad AP70Mk2 is a modular autopilot system that is Type Approved both for HCS(MED/4.16) and HSC(MED/4.40). The AP70Mk2 system is also tested for compliance with BAM requirements – IMO Res.MSC.302(87).



GPS Systems
GPS Navigator and GPS Compass in one system, scalable to provide up to 12 NMEA0183 serial ports. The P2005 is geared towards workboats and other non-SOLAS vessels, while the P3007 is IMO approved.




Speed Log SAL R1a
The SAL R1a is an IMO type-approved speed log for measuring longitudinal speed through water (STW), based on proven Acoustic Correlation technology, offering simple and cost-effective installation with no need for a watertight compartment or piping above the waterline.


Navigation Sounder S3009
The S3009 navigational echosounder meets the requirement for reliable and accurate bottom tracking and depth recording on a wide range of commercial vessels.


Instruments
Both I3005 and I3007 are IMO approved for SOLAS vessels and offering support for a wide variety of I/O signal types, easy touch control plus the capability to enable up to eight different functions simultaneously.
