Student licenses

Are you a PhD or Master’s student? We offer heavily discounted student licenses to support your academic research. These licenses provide full access to all Echoview modules for 12-month periods, giving the next generation of hydroacoustic scientists the tools they need to succeed.

Updated licensing

We’ve recently introduced a new licensing system that replaces the traditional dongles we’ve used for many years. For those who have recently purchased additional licenses, you’ll have noticed that they look a little different to the dongles you’ve previously received! In addition to the new form factor, these licenses offer extra capabilities:

  • Combine perpetual and subscription licenses on a single device — ideal for short-term module access on an otherwise perpetual license
  • Full support for Remote Desktop connections — no workarounds needed if you remotely connect to your processing computer
  • Support for licensing on virtual machines (note: special license type required)
  • Receive license configuration updates automatically — no need to install a new version of Echoview using “Check for Updates” just to update your license settings. This is particularly convenient for those who require IT administrators to update their software (note: software updates still need to be manually installed as new versions are released).

Those who have older dongle types may swap to the new dongle type in Echoview 15 for a small fee. If you’re licensed for an older version of Echoview, reach out to us to confirm upgrade pricing.

Recreational sonar licensing

Do you work with consumer-grade sonars, such as SIMRAD (by Navico Group)? We offer a special, lower-cost license tailored for these data types and the specific analyses they can perform.

We’re excited to be introducing subscription licenses that are accessed via the cloud, providing you with floating seat licenses that can be flexibly shared within your user group.
