Kaleidescape updates Marine Services

Kaleidescape, maker of the ultimate movie platform, are excited to announce the new Terra Prime movie servers for Marine. The next generation of movie servers, Terra Prime features an all-new board design, with faster processing power and faster network – the only dedicated movie server with 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet. The new servers are available with either fast solid-state drives (SSD) or high-capacity hard disk drives (HDD).

The award-winning Terra Prime Solid-State movie servers are the fastest and quietest movie servers available, ideal for yachts and large installations. Terra Prime SSD draws ~50% the power of its predecessor and enables larger configurations, supporting up to 25 simultaneous playback zones per server. Available in 31TB capacity, up to four Terra Prime Solid-State movie servers can be combined for the ultimate in onboard performance.

Marine Movie Service Update

Using the Marine Movie Service, yacht owners or crew can purchase movies, TV series, and concerts from the Kaleidescape Marine Movie Store. Content is downloaded to an encrypted hard drive and then sent to the yacht at port.

We are now using solid-state hard drives to securely download and deliver content. The new solid-state drives enable faster transfers and are no longer required to be shipped back.

Marine Movie Store Update

The Kaleidescape Marine Movie Store continues to grow, now with over 10,000 titles, including over 1,700 in 4K. We offer the latest new releases, including premium offerings (movies that are available for purchase while in theaters) as well as the latest 4K arrivals, concerts, TV series, opera, and other niche content.

The only digital movie provider with lossless audio and full reference video quality, Kaleidescape’s high-bitrate movie downloads surpass the abilities of typical streaming services, resulting in a seamless playback experience onboard – no matter where you are.

Now available from the Marine Movie Store are a variety of new releases including: Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning (Part 1), Barbie, Gran Turismo, and Blue Beetle. Great catalog titles are also now available for the first time in 4K, including: The Manchurian Candidate, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

The Ultimate Kaleidescape System for Marine provides a complete movie-watching experience right out of the box. The top 800 Kaleidescape movies are included, in the highest resolution possible, pre-loaded onto two Terra Prime 31TB Solid-State servers, along with one Strato C movie player. Multiple Strato C movie players can be purchased for every room where onboard access to the entire Kaleidescape movie collection is desired.
