New plug-and-play ECDIS by Raytheon Anschütz

Raytheon Anschütz introduces the cost-effective, plug-and-play ECDIS NX Compact. It is a preconfigured system of a 24-inch Panel-PC and the ECDIS NX software that will make installation and operation easier and safer than ever before.

ECDIS NX Compact is available off-the-shelf, consisting of:

• 24-inch Panel PC with multi-touch (incl. zoom) – i7 Quad-Core processor, 240 GB SSD, 8 GB RAM
  • Dual Power 24 VDC / 115 & 230 VAC
  • Display resolution 1920×1080 (16/9)
  • 8 x IEC 61162-1 serial phoenix connectors (NMEA)
  • Identical cut out and table mount bracket as ECDIS24

• Mechanical connection kit for EMV-compliant cable strutting
• Ergonomic laser desktop trackball with a scroll wheel, IP 68
• USB thumb drive with software installation wizard – IEC 61174 Ed. 4 type-approved ECDIS NX software (Synapsis Ed. 5.xx)
  • Windows 10 IoT Enterprise operating system

Easy to install, comprehensive support resources

The ECDIS NX Compact comes with a new software installation wizard that allows unattended software installation within 30 minutes. The wizard includes selectable standard configurations for single and dual setups. Service technicians will only need to input static ship parameters. If sensor cables are prepared, the total installation time is reduced to less than 60 minutes.

The new ECDIS NX Compact is available in single or dual setup and in various configurations suitable for all new-building and/or retrofit applications. In the dual setup, the ECDIS NX Compact is compliant for paperless navigation and supports Track Control with Anschütz NP5400 & NP5500 Autopilots. For existing ECDIS 24 retrofits, the ECDIS NX Compact is a form-fit-function replacement and reuses the existing MagicPlex sensor interface.
