C-MAP® Safety Alerts
This groundbreaking C-MAP® cartography feature automatically alerts users to hazards ahead, ranging from shallow waters to buoys. The safety alerts function by highlighting charted objects in the vessel’s path that pose a risk of collision or grounding. This includes surface objects like buoys or Cardinal markers, and in grounding scenarios, any object shallower than your draft measured upon your initial NSX setup. It serves as an essential safety navigation tool for boaters of all levels, offering an additional sense of peace of mind on the water. To activate this feature, select the Safety Alerts checkbox from the chart menu to toggle anti-grounding alerts on or off. This feature is specific to Simrad NSX with either a C-MAP® DISCOVER™ X or REVEAL™ X chart card.
