2025 FOS – WATERCAT 2000 PATROL FOR H.C.G.

The Hellenic Coast Guard took delivery of five Watercat 2000 Patrol vessels with the option to extend the contract for an additional five vessels. They were designed and built by Marine Alutech in Teijo, Finland according to HCG requirements including a Sentinel 7,62/12,7mm RWS plus multiple Surveillance and Navigation sensors.

Their C2 and Navigation systems provide full maritime domain awareness to support the crew of six in handling effectively a wide range of coastal surveillance mission profiles, such as border control, SAR, law enforcement, etc.

Their aluminum hull has a length of 19,5 meters, beam of 5,1 meters and draft of 0,8 meters while their propulsion systems combine MAN diesel engines with Kamewa waterjets for a top speed of 50+ knots, an operational speed of 30+ knots and a range of 360 nm.

Aegean Electronics provides follow-on support services (onboard and remote), plus official ENCs which meet SOLAS Carriage Requirements for use in ECDIS.
