SEA.AI releases latest s.v.3.13

SEA.AI (formerly known as OSCAR) just announced the release of SEA.AI Software Update v3.13, bringing major improvements for both Brain and Sentry users in object detection, smarter classification, and collision avoidance, such as:

  • The classification algorithm in Sentry has been significantly enhanced, delivering much higher accuracy when assigning classes to detected objects. This means users can trust the system to correctly identify what’s around them, reducing uncertainty and improving situational awareness during navigation.
  • Object classification is now available on Brain, bringing the same advanced algorithm already used in other SEA.AI systems. With this update, Brain not only detects objects but also identifies what they are, giving users a more complete understanding of their surroundings. The added intelligence helps users navigate with greater confidence and make faster, more informed decisions.
  • Collision avoidance has become even more intelligent on both SEA.AI Sentry and SEA.AI Brain. In addition to distance and alarm lines, both systems now factor in object size and bearing when assessing threats. This refined logic means alarms are triggered only when necessary, reducing false alerts and ensuring users are warned at the right time.
  • Elevation Offset is now available for SEA.AI Sentry in Land Operation Mode. This new setting allows users to configure the camera’s default inclination in rotating modes during land operations. This flexibility ensures optimal camera positioning for different environments, improving detection accuracy and making land-based monitoring more efficient.

SEA.AI is a pioneer in the field of machine vision for marine applications. The Watchkeeper, Competition & Sentry systems combine optical and thermal sensors with artificial intelligence for enhanced comfort and safety at sea. While the Brain add-on system pursues the promise of vaster surface vision capabilities for third-party thermal cameras.  SEA.AI systems detect floating objects early, using thermal and optical cameras to catch even objects that escape conventional systems such as Radar or AIS: unsignalled craft, floating obstacles, containers, buoys, inflatables, kayaks and persons over board.

These latest software updates for SEA.AI systems, not only enhance the systems’ detection capabilities, but also offer a more user-friendly experience. As maritime security remains a persistent concern in today’s world, SEA.AI continues to lead the way with innovative solutions that supports crew members and maritime professionals to safeguard their vessels effectively. So, our users may stay safe, stay aware, and navigate with confidence – powered by Sea.AI.
