JMC introduces 9” daylight viewable touchscreen MFD

The new JMC NP-90 MAX (GPS/Plotter) & V-90P MAX (GPS/Plotter-Fishfinder) were introduced. A daylight viewable (1110 nits) touchscreen 9” display built to waterproof IPX6 Standards is used. Easy installation is ensured by an embedded antenna and the 72-channel GPS/GLONASS receiver. Connections for various options, data I/O in NMEA 2000 & NMEA0183 plus an external GNSS antenna are also available.

Both NP-90 MAX & V-90P MAX feature:

• Various screens are available in PAGE mode for Full MAP screen, Satellite monitor screen, Engine monitor display, etc
• Touchscreen full-control of Menu selection, MAP zoom function, optional Fishfinder or Radar zoom and transducer selection, etc
• Tap, Long tap, Pan for a pinch in/out, rotate, swipe, 2-fingers swipe, 3-fingers swipe control are available
• The digital rotary encoder is possible to easy and quick control of the desired menu or MAP zoom in/out or optional fishfinder range scale selection radar screen control operation, etc
• Customizable function keys of F1, F2, and F3 allow for user-defined shortcuts to menu settings
• Databox window customization is possible to select the users’ favorite combination of 6 databoxes from 31 selectable data menu, Fix position, Bearing, SOG, COG, Steering, TTG, Date and time, etc
• AIS target overlay on MAP display and CPA alarm and TCPA alarm can be set to the closest AIS target
• Large capacity of Waypoint (50.000) and Event mark (30.000) for marking important locations can be displayed and saved to user micro SD card memory
• Built-in wireless LAN facility makes a possible connection to a Wi-Fi hotspot to control the display screen using Smartphone free application of “MIRROR CONTROL” or captaincloud.com
• Built-in card slot for charts in micro SD cards by C-MAP and Navionics

The standard delivery consists of:

• Mounting Bracket with 2 pcs knob
• Panel mount template

The CHIRP fishfinder transceiver which is built-in the V-90P MAX allows connection with a large selection of CHIRP transducers between 300W to 1000W in Low, Middle, and High-frequency ranges. While existing or older non-CHIRP type transducers, from Radarsonics and AIRMAR can also be connected.

When interfacing the NP-90 MAX with optional (external) BV-6200 BBFF or Radar Unit the corresponding Fishfinder and Radar screens become active in the operational menu.

For installations without a direct view to the satellites an optional (external) CSG-M8 GNSS/SBAS smart antenna with 15m cable is also available for both. The modular construction of the systems’ options contributes to flexible installation layout in smaller vessels and the simple Greek menu is providing an intuitive and user-friendly interface. Moreover, it should be noted that 12” versions of both the above are expected to be introduced shortly.
