Adrena Software released Version 23

ADRENA, a French company specializing in navigation software and performance analysis, released Version 23 with numerous new features for their users. With this latest update Adrena adds, in all software (Octopus, Adrena Standard and Adrena Pro), the following basic new features:

  • Histograph control via ribbon
  • Grouping alarms in a single window
  • Alarm management by right-clicking directly on the digital data
  • Option to recenter chart on a waypoint or route
  • Highlighting the object on which the chart has been focusing (waypoint, route, AIS)
  • Importing polars in CSV format (example: ORC polars site)
  • Polars catalog included in the software
  • Ability to save chart configuration by tab
  • Display of MRCC coverage areas with contacts (data provided by Global SAR Hub)
  • Integration of Furuno radar
  • Creation of a GRIB server to download files more quickly and efficiently
  • Optimization of memory usage required for loading GRIB files
  • NMEA sentence to specify engine navigation
  • Hazard button: Reporting and receiving information about marine wildlife or navigation hazards
  • Creation of a data stream to access via an external application (AdrenaStream)

                                 

In addition to all the above, Octopus adds the following unique new features:

  • Automatic GRIBs download before routing
  • Adding photos and videos to tracks
  • Auto-Rally: tracking participating boats when sailing in a fleet

The users of Adrena Standard and Adrena Pro have the following unique new features:

  • Option to store only data from tracked AIS targets
  • Self-training: fleet tracking during training sessions
  • Possibility of performing a wind scan for routings with constant wind

While the users of Adrena Pro have, in addition to the above, the following exclusive new features:

  • Display of FFV marker position (buoys or organization boats)
  • Routing with variable time steps on isochrones
  • Option to hide routing tooltips
  • Setting individual alarms for competitors (no data received, etc.)
  • Integration of wave data from GRIB files into track exports
  • Track export: option to format position in degrees
