Simrad launched ECS900 Electronic Chart System

Simrad® Commercial has now launched the new SIMRAD ECS900, a professional Electronic Chart System designed to meet the evolving needs of light commercial and professional vessels. Available in 16″ and 21″ display configurations, ECS900 delivers compliant electronic chart navigation in a compact, scalable solution, built on the same proven platform as Simrad®  ECDIS900.

Meeting Evolving Regulatory Requirements

Recent regulatory updates across key maritime regions are reshaping how smaller commercial vessels approach navigation. In markets such as the United Kingdom and Norway, approved Electronic Chart Systems (ECS) can now support paperless navigation for vessels under 24 meters, creating new opportunities for operators to transition away from traditional paper charts while maintaining compliance. SIMRAD ECS900 has been developed to meet these requirements, supporting ECS / SV-ECS / Mini-ECDIS standards, and enabling operators to confidently adopt compliant digital navigation solutions.
