New Kaleidescape Servers!

Kaleidescape, Inc. the only digital provider of movies with lossless audio and full reference video quality, announced the release of the new compact Terra 22TB movie server, replacing the compact Terra 18TB, and the release of the new Terra 88TB movie server, replacing the Terra 72TB server. Kaleidescape remains committed to acting on customer feedback. This new server lineup will efficiently meet the wide range of customer needs in the 4K UHD era.

Customers can now choose from the compact Terra 6TB, compact Terra 12TB, compact Terra 22TB or the larger Terra 48TB and Terra 88TB. Spaced roughly a factor of two apart from each other, these server capacities provide efficient options for those who want storage flexibility on a smaller scale, or for those with larger collections looking to expand as more 4K UHD titles become available.

  • The compact Terra 22TB movie server can download a 4K movie in as few as 10 minutes, store over 350 4K UHD movies, and serve up to 5 simultaneous 4K UHD playbacks.
  • The Terra 88TB movie server can download a 4K movie in as few as 10 minutes, store nearly 1,500 4K UHD movies, and serve up to 10 simultaneous 4K UHD playbacks.

Kaleidescape provides a white glove service for private yachts, the Marine Movie Store; with nearly 14,000 titles available in reference quality 4K HDR, lossless Dolby Atmos and DTS:X audio. In addition, Kaleidescape offers more than 700 4K UHD titles not available on Blu-ray Disc.

Any selection of this digital content can be purchased, factory-loaded and then stored onboard. So, no internet? No problem! The Kaleidescape experience is immediate, predictable, and always available for playback on movie players throughout your yacht. All while surpassing 4K UHD discs in both convenience and quality by going beyond optical disc capacity and bit rate limits.
